Hey everyone! It’s FRIDAYYYYY! I hope you all are officially on your holiday break and enjoying some R&R! My family and I are actually in the sunny state of California for the holidays seeing some family, so we are enjoying some warmer temperatures and quality time together. For those of you who weren’t able to catch our Grand Finale of Bargain Mansions, I wanted to take a few minutes to post a quick recap for you guys!! This house was a COMPLETELY different style than my first 5 homes on the show. This was a 3,000 square foot RANCH with its very own lake in the back yard! The main floor was completely massive and I️t was such a challenge figuring out how to lay everything out… because the current floor plan was just not working. I brought my crew in and we completely transformed the place.

As you can see, this kitchen was cramped, outdated and just WRONG. This house has the most beautiful view you’ve ever seen and I️t was only visible from ONE ROOM!! I thought that was crazy. I wanted the completely MOVE the kitchen to the back side of the house, (where the current master suite is) and start completely from scratch.

This in the large master bedroom (the one room with the view of the lake) and behind me is not one, but TWO walk in closets and a huge hot mess master bathroom. You can’t see I️t In this picture, but to the right of our camera guy, there’s a big office space too! This suite honestly took up half the house. We tore down every single one of these walls to make room for our new massive, jaw-dropping kitchen.

(This was where the 2 master closets and massive master bath once stood!)

To give this home a bright and airy lake house vibe, we went with a classic, all white kitchen with an enormous walnut island topped with Calcutta quartz. Then, our crew installed 4 new, beautiful windows over looking the property’s serene lake. I️t turned out absolutely stunning.

The master bedroom had these beautiful high Cathedral ceilings and amazing picture windows. Like I mentioned, this room was the only room in the house that had a nice view of the lake. To take full advantage of the amazing view, our crew transformed the back wall into a complete wall of windows. I am soooo happy with how this kitchen and sitting area turned out!

Bar Sink and Faucet: Kohler | Marble Backsplash: Daltile | Pulls and Ice Bucket: Addison Weeks We also installed this adorable little wet bar right in between the kitchen and sitting area, perfect for entertaining guests!

Now, this beautiful kitchen and sitting area is the focal point of the entire home and takes full advantage of the AMAZING view!! It is seriously the perfect space to cook and entertain family and friends and we are so pleased with how it all turned out. I can’t wait to hear what you all think! Let me know your thoughts in the comments section!!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and are able to enjoy all of your loved ones and lots of yummy food! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
